On 23 April 2016, Johor Port Berhad (JPB), a Member of MMC Group hosted a Family Day 2016 event at Kompleks Mutiara, Bandar Dato’ Onn, Johor Bahru, as part of their appreciation to the employees of JPB and its subsidiaries.

The auspicious family day event was officiated by Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Group Managing Director of MMC Corporation Berhad. Also present at the event to grace the occasion were Mr Ian James, Group Chief Executive Officer, MMC Port Holdings Sdn Bhd and Chief Executive Officer of JPB, En Shahrull Allam Shah Abdul Halim.

The JPB Family day, themed “Rainbow” was attended by over 2,000 employees with the objectives to promote harmony, strengthen relationship and family unity among JPB employees and their families. The one-day celebration brought fun and laughter to the employees’ families with a wide range of exciting entertainment, activities and food such as live band, food truck, appearance by Boboiboy & Yaya mascot, lucky draw and many more.

The highlight of the event was the Finals for JPB Popstar where Ahmad Fahmi Izlan Mohd So’ai from JP Logistics Sdn Bhd emerged as JPB Popstar for 2016. The celebration ended with the launching of JPB Sports Carnival by En Shahrull Allam Shah Abdul Halim.
