Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a Member of MMC Group organised a Knowledge Sharing & Benchmarking Session with Weifang Sime Darby Port, a subsidiary of Sime Darby Energy & Utilities, China Division. The session held on 13 April 2016 was organised as a platform for exchange of knowledge and practices where both Companies presented respective core process performance, best practices and improvement projects.

Northport shared its success stories on the deployment of Performance Improvement Programs (PIP) using PDCA Cycle and Lean Six Sigma methodologies which have led the Company in winning various accolades in recent years.

The delegates were then taken for a tour around the port area at the end of the session for an in-depth experience of Northport’s facilities and capabilities.
