Senai Airport Terminal Services Demonstrates Airport Emergency Plan

On 24 May 2016, Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (SATSSB), a Member of MMC Group organised an emergency action plan exercise.

The objective of this exercise was to familiarise relevant parties with steps to be taken in the event of air disasters involving airlines and passengers.

The exercise, which was divided into two sessions, saw participations from all stakeholders ranging from the Authorities, Government Agencies, Airline Operators, MRO Centres and Flying Clubs.

The first session was facilitated by the Airport Standard Officer, En Su’aidi Yusoff from Department of Civil Aviation together with SATSSB’s Head of Aviation Security and Airport Fire Rescue Service, ASP PB. S. Gunasegeran.

Meanwhile, the second session saw a special attendance from Mejar Fauzan Tahir, Head of Emergency Response Department of Malaysia Airlines Berhad sharing his firsthand experience in managing two major incidents involving the national carrier, the MH370 and MH17.

This exercise showcased SATSSB’s commitment in preparing its community in managing any potentially disastrous event.
