On 21 May 2016, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport) participated in the bowling event in conjunction with the MMC Games 2016. The event which was held at Ampang Super Bowl, Summit Subang Jaya saw Northport successfully clinched third place overall.

The MMC Games 2016, involving participation from MMC Group operating companies, is one of the Group’s initiatives aimed to strengthen the relationship and an avenue to get-to-know the MMC Group operating companies among the participating members through sports and recreation activities.

A total of 12 teams participated and competed in the event involving teams from Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Johor Port Berhad, Kontena Nasional Berhad, Senai Air Terminal Services Sdn Bhd, MMC Port Holdings Sdn Bhd, Gas Malaysia Berhad, Malakoff Corporation Bhd, MMC Engineering & Construction Division, Zelan Berhad, MMC Tepat Teknik Sdn Bhd & SMART, MMC Pembetungan Langat Sdn Bhd and MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd. The bowling event was officiated by Northport’s Chief Executive Officer, En Azman Shah Mohd Yusof.

The team from Port of Tanjung Pelepas emerged as overall winner of this year’s bowling event, while Johor Port Berhad finished second.
