PTP and Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor

Share Raya Cheer with the Less Fortunate

Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) a member of MMC Group together with Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor (LPJ) continued to spread the spirit of goodwill and cheer to the local community by organising its annual PTP – LPJ Tijarah Ramadan Program.

The CSR based event was organised as part of a collaboration effort by both organisations to support and improve the living standard of the local community. The program was also part of a comprehensive MMC Group’s CSR-based programme named MMC Prihatin where it serves as a good platform in fostering greater solidarity and community spirit between PTP and the local community.

A total of 150 underprivileged families from Kampung Tiram Duku, Kampung Pok, Kampung Desa Paya Mengkuang, Kampung Ladang, Kampung Pekajang and Kampung Tanjung Adang received Hari Raya aid in the form of shopping voucher and goods worth RM250.00.

The event was launched by En Muhammad Razif Ahmad, General Manager of LPJ. Also present during the event were Mr Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP, along with the management team from PTP and LPJ. The dignitaries, together with the recipients and family members were also feted with sumptuous dishes during the break of fast session held at Wisma B, PTP.

This year, the distribution of aid was made via two different approaches. The main distribution activity was centred at PTP whereas those who were unable to attend the programme received their aid via a convoy team assisted by volunteers from PTP and LPJ.
