Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, collaborated with Johor Port Authority (JPA), to distribute dry food and essential items to Rumah Nur Ehsan as part of both organisations’ continuous Corporate Social Responsibility programme involving the community.

Rumah Nur Ehsan is an old folks home located in Johor Bahru which was recently confirmed with having 63 positive COVID-19 cases amongst its residents and employees. The entire old folks home was placed under immediate quarantine and was cut off access to daily necessities.

In response to this, PTP and JPA, using the donation collected from both of their employees earlier this year have taken the initiative to deliver dry food and essential items such as rice, sugar, biscuits, adult diapers, hygienic and disinfectant items, face masks and hand sanitiser to Rumah Nur Ehsan.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect people’s lives, PTP remains committed in giving back to the community. The strong support and the sense of camaraderie amongst the employees in donating to Malaysians in need is reflection of PTP’s caring, generous and kind-hearted employees.
