Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, achieved its most significant milestone to date when it has successfully surpassed 10.0 Million Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) of container throughput at approximately 7.00 am today.

A simple but meaningful ceremony to commemorate the feat was also organized afterward, attended by PTP Chief Executive Officer, Marco Neelsen, along with the management and non-management teams from various divisions.

In the face of unprecedented global health crisis and continued global economic uncertainties, PTP continues to record organic growth in its business and operational performance due to numerous strategic improvement initiatives taken by the company such as on terminal equipment acquisition and programme including the procurement of new ship-to-shore quay cranes, rubber-tyred-gantry cranes and prime movers, rolling out of digitalisation empowerment programme such with the Asset Digitisation and smart mobile applications to connect terminal workers with real-time operational activities as well as the rolling of PTP Way of Working programme that have positively contributed towards the improvement of productivity and efficiency of PTP assets and working culture.

This momentous achievement demonstrates PTP’s strength and capability in producing world class service level amidst the current challenging business environment.
