On 14 March 2022, MMC Group organised a programme titled, “Fighting Corruption – Fostering an Integrity Culture and Roles of the Leaders” at Glenmarie Hotel and Golf Resort, Shah Alam.

The session attended by the top management and chief executive officers from the operating companies was aimed at providing an insight on keeping the business clean and clear from any threats of potential bribery and corruption.

This interactive session was delivered by two renowned speakers namely Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, the MMC Group Integrity Advisor and Dato’ Rohaizad Yaakob, former Director of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed in his presentation said, “In the fight against corruption, organisations and businesses must put in place preventive measures that reinforce integrity, good governance, transparency, accountability and respect for the rule of law in their operational procedures.  Fighting corruption is not the sole responsibility of MACC; cooperation from all sectors is needed to make a graft-free business environment a reality.”

“Integrity is our top priority when conducting our business. It sits above everything. If everyone in this organisation acts with integrity, there will be no room for corruption acts,” added Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Group Managing Director of MMC Corporation Berhad.

This programme was conducted in line with the MMC Policy and Framework on Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption which was implemented on 27 August 2019.
