Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, organised a town hall session with Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Group Managing Director of MMC Group, with the objective of forging a stronger relationship between Penang Port’s employees and the management. The town hall session was held in full compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures on Health and Safety measures against COVID-19 involving the physical presence of 150 employees at Penang Port Headquarters Common Area and participated by other employees via a virtual platform; Microsoft Teams.

The town hall session was also attended by Dato' Syed Mohamad Syed Murtaza, Chairman of Penang Port and Dato' Sasedharan Vasudevan, Chief Executive Officer of Penang Port, to shed light on MMC Group's hopes and expectations for Penang Port in 2022. Dato' Sri Che Khalib also shared the challenges faced by the company and the shipping industry throughout 2021 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The town hall event served as an effective employee engagement medium for the management of Penang Port to share important updates and company development while simultaneously motivate the employees to embrace the challenges of 2022 and beyond.
