The Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP), Yang Berhormat Dato’ Rosol bin Wahid and a delegation from KPDNHEP made an official working visit to Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport). The objective of the visit was to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the logistical supply chain as well as the food security management following the recent issue of the high chicken and egg prices in the local market.
The Deputy Minister and his delegation were welcomed by Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, Chief Executive Officer of Northport. Also present during the visit were KPDNHEP’s Senior Management team including Aris Mamat, Deputy Director of Enforcement, Jafri Embok Taha, Senior Director Cost of Living Affairs and Subsidy Sector, Mohamad Zikril Azan Abdullah, Director of KPDNHEP Selangor and Aminuddin Muhammad, Chief Enforcement Officer of KPDNHEP Selangor.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on Northport’s operations by Dato’ Azman and was given a tour of Northport to provide an in-depth knowledge of the port operations and the terminal’s storage facilities.
YB Dato’ Rosol Wahid, aged 58, is a Member of Parliament for Hulu Terengganu since May 2018 and has been serving as the Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs since March 2020.
