After weeks of preparation with Lembaga Tabung Haji, Malaysia Airlines, the Department of Health and various government agencies, Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd is proud and humbled to have witnessed a total of four Hajj flights resumed from Senai International Airport (JHB) this year after they were suspended for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 570 hajj pilgrims began their holy pilgrimage from Johor Bahru via Kula Lumpur International Airport to Saudi Arabia. The first flight carrying 142 hajj pilgrims departed from Senai International Airport on Sunday, 19 June 2022.
The second flight departed on Monday, 20 June 2022 and was sent off by YB Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid, the Chairman of the State Islamic Religious Affairs Committee.
YB Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh, the State Works, Transport and Infrastructure Committee Chairman, was attended the third departure on the following day and distributed goodie bags and packs of KFC to 147 pilgrims.
The final hajj flight for this year was departed on 22 June 2022 (Wednesday) carrying 146 pilgrims.
The return flights will commence on 31 July, with the last flight on 3 August 2022. Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd wishes all pilgrims a safe and smooth journey throughout the 2022 season of pilgrimage. May Allah grant mabrur hajj to all.
