Penang Port Embraces the Spirit of Togetherness with Sinar Ramadan Programme

Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, successfully launched the inaugural Sinar Ramadan programme with the presence of Dato’ Syed Mohamad Syed Murtaza, Chairman of Penang Port and Syamsyul Helmy Mohd Rafiaee, Head Operations Division of Penang Port.

They were two sub-programmes under Sinar Ramadan which are Kongsi Rezeki and donation of food and provisions to the homeless and Government agencies in Penang. Through Kongsi Rezeki, Penang Port provided a monetary support to selected stalls at Bazaar Ramadan Bagan Luar, Butterworth. The food vendors then distributed free food to all customers at the bazaar. Kongsi Rezeki received overwhelming response and positive feedbacks from the public.

Following the Kongsi Rezeki, Penang Port organised a distribution event to help the needy and homeless. More than 20 volunteers have joined the programme by distributing food and provisions around Bagan Luar, Butterworth and George Town. Penang Port also provided food and provisions to the Government agencies especially to the members on duty such as the Customs office in North Butterworth Container Terminal, Balai Polis Butterworth, Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Pulau Pinang and Balai Bomba & Penyelamat Lebuh Pantai.

Penang Port is thrilled with Sinar Ramadan programme as it provides a great opportunity for the employees to help those in need.
