Johor Port Supports Underprivileged Families for Upcoming Raya Celebration
Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, together with Yayasan Pasir Gudang has recently completed a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Johor Port Prihatin.
With the help of Yayasan Pasir Gudang, 200 underprivileged families in Pasir Gudang area namely Taman Air Biru, Taman Kota Masai, Taman Scientex and Kampung Pasir Putih were identified as beneficiaries for this year’s initiative.
Through the programme, Johor Port has successfully distributed 200 boxes of food essentials worth RM10,000.00 as well as financial aid worth RM40,000.00 to these families with the intention to ease their burden in hopes that they will be able to have a more meaningful and memorable Raya festivity, as they continue to face challenges after the outbreak of COVID-19.
As a caring organisation, Johor Port’s CSR initiative focuses on giving back to the communities especially in the areas where it operates, to facilitate the growth of the local socio-economy. Johor Port will continue with its efforts and remain committed to being socially responsible in the long run.
