Dato’ Azman Shah of Northport is MMC Group’s CEO of the Year
MMC Corporation Berhad celebrated the MMC Group CEO Awards 2017 ceremony at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur as part of the Senior Management Retreat programme. The event was held to recognise outstanding achievements, excellent organisational performances of companies and remarkable leaders within MMC Group for their enduring commitment to excellence, developing best practices and innovative strategies.
During the event, Dato' Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Group Managing Director of MMC Corporation Berhad were joined by the senior management team of MMC and its Group of Companies.
Four special awards were presented to selected companies during the event for their outstanding financial achievements, leadership qualities and business excellence in 2016.
Kontena Nasional Berhad emerged as the Most Improved Company, followed by Senai Airport City Sdn Bhd as the Highest Growth Company for its significant financial achievements. Johor Port Berhad on the other hand, walked away with Best People Practice Award for its employee development and engagement initiatives.
Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, Chief Executive Officer of Northport (Malaysia) Bhd stole the show as the MMC Group’s CEO of the Year for achieving an all-round strong performance focusing on cost optimisation and highest amount of dividend paid for the company that he leads. All winners received a commemorative plaque, certificate and cash prize.
