Northport Contributes to Carey Island Community in Conjunction with Aidilfitri

Northport (Malaysia) Bhd, a Member of MMC Group organised a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme with the Mah Meri ethnic community in Carey Island.


40 muallaf families from Kampung Sungai Judah and Kampung Sungai Kurau were present to receive essential food items for their Hari Raya Aidilfitri preparation. The CSR programme was held in collaboration with Sekolah Kebangsaan Sg. Judah (A), Pulau Carey.


Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, Chief Executive Officer of Northport presented the provisions to the families, witnessed by the head of Kampung Sungai Judah village, Tok Batin Daiman Peron. More than 120 villagers, Sekolah Kebangsaan Sg. Judah teachers and employees as well as Northport’s employees participated in the programme.


The programme aimed at reaching out and giving back to the community and fulfil Northport’s commitment as a responsible corporate citizen especially during Malaysia’s major festivals.
