Smart Tunnel is Set to Organise
Smart Tunnel Run 2017
SMART Tunnel recently held a soft launch for SMART Tunnel Run 2017 at SMART Control Center (SMART SCC) Kg. Berembang Kuala Lumpur. The ceremony was officiated by YBhg Datuk Ir. Dr. Haji Hamim bin Samuri, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources & Environment, witnessed by YBhg Dato’ Sri Ir. Haji Zulkefli bin Hassan, Director General of Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia along with Ir. Tuan Haji Nishad bin Hj C.J. Mohd Shaffy, State Director of Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
The SMART Tunnel Run 2017 will be held on 30 July 2017, Sunday, which begins and finishes at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur. The event offers the public a unique experience by running inside the world’s one and only dual-purpose tunnel. To provide an ideal environment in the tunnel, the ventilation system will be fully optimised for the event.
The event is organised to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of SMART Tunnel operation and 85th establishment of Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia. The event is expected to attract approximately 3,000 participants under several categories. Participation is open to Malaysians only.
