Gas Malaysia Hosts

Hari Raya Celebration

Gas Malaysia Berhad (Gas Malaysia), a member of MMC Group, held a Hari Raya celebration at its headquarters. The annual festive event was attended by all employees of Gas Malaysia including subsidiaries and joint venture companies as well as those from branch offices.


The event was graced with the presence of YBhg Datuk Haji Hasni Harun, Chairman of Gas Malaysia and Encik Ahmad Hashimi Abdul Manap, Chief Executive Officer of Gas Malaysia. This occasion was an opportunity for Gas Malaysia to celebrate the joy of festivity with a sense of unity and goodwill. Invitees and employees were seen dressed in their traditional best and the atmosphere was filled with exuberant Hari Raya theme music.


In a bid to reaffirm its commitment towards helping the less fortunate, 20 orphans from Pusat Jagaan Nur Sakinah based in Bandar Pinggiran Subang, Shah Alam were invited and received ‘duit raya’ by En. Ahmad Hashimi Abdul Manap. In the same occasion, Gas Malaysia also had executed its zakat obligation by distributed the contribution to 10 institutions, namely, Majlis Agama Islam Melaka, Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan, Majlis Agama Islam Dan Adat Melayu Terengganu, Surau Al-Firdaus, Kembara Amal Ventures, Surau At-Taufiqiah, Maahad Tahfiz Akademi Iqro Al-Quran, Madrasah Tahfiz Harun Al-Masri, Kelab Kebajikan Nur Insaniah Selangor and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Malaysia.


Further to this, during the event the winners for the inaugural Hari Raya Aidilfitri Video Clip Challenge was announced. Prior to the event, all departments were tasked to produce an amateur video using only their android phones, based on the Hari Raya Aidilfitri theme for a duration of 1 minute.


An exhaustive buffet array was served comprising of nasi minyak, ayam masak merah, daging dendeng, kuah dalca and many more. As a sign of muhibah and strong unity among Gas Malaysia employees, non-Muslim employees were also seen in their traditional attires participating in this memorable occasion.
