AFES Elevates Its Sustainability Intiatives Plant

DRB-HICOM Environmental Services Sdn Bhd (DHES), a wholly owned subsidiary of Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora), has undergone a rebranding exercise by changing its name to Alam Flora Environmental Solutions Sdn Bhd (AFES). The new name is a reflection of the company’s role as a total solutions provider that supports the Sustainable Development Goals, especially when it comes to recycling activities and driving the circular economy model.

The rebranding exercise, which includes a new logo and website, was officiated by YB Puan Hajah Zuraida Kamaruddin, Minister of Housing and Local Government with the presence of Dato’ Mohd Zain Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of Alam Flora and accompanied by Nazar Abdul Raof, Chief Operating Officer of AFES on 17 November 2020 at Alam Flora’s Fasiliti Inovasi Kitar Semula (FIKS), Putrajaya.

FIKS is an education centre for recycling processes and waste recovery that was developed by Alam Flora primarily to educate the public on Total Waste Management Processes, promote Alam Flora Group’s services and create awareness on its Integrated Recycling Facility and recycling activities. The centre also supports Perbadanan Putrajaya’s mission towards becoming a Green City by 2025.
