Northport's CEO Meets Employees at Hybrid Town Hall Session

Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, organised the first hybrid town hall session with the objective of building a stronger relationship between its employees and the Management. The town hall session was organised in full compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures on Health and Safety measures against COVID-19 involving the physical presence of 60 employees at CBM Hall Northport C and participated by 150 other employees via a virtual platform, Microsoft Teams. This was the first town hall session organised by Northport since the COVID-19 outbreak and the enforcement of the Movement Control Order in early 2020.

During the session, Northport’s Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof shared the challenges faced by the Company and the shipping industry throughout 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Northport’s business performance, achievements and organisational updates were also covered during the session.

The town hall event was an effective employee engagement medium for the Management of Northport to share important updates and development of the Company while at the same time interact with its employees of all levels. The session also served as an important platform to enhance the employees’ productivity and for them to embrace the challenges of 2021 and beyond.
