Penang Port Join Forces with RTM Pulau Pinang to Launch the Jelajah Ramadan 2021

Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, collaborated with RTM Pulau Pinang to successfully launch the 9th edition of Jelajah Ramadan programme.

Jelajah Ramadan consists of three sub programmes which were Sumbangan Juadah Kepada Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Pulau Pinang, Kongsi Rezeki and Majlis Berbuka Puasa Bersama Anak Yatim di Wisma Anak Yatim Perempuan Islam Pulau Pinang. This remarkable programme aimed at offering a helping hand to the unfortunate.

The programme kicked off with the donation packs of food to Penang Civil Defense Force. As one of the frontliners during the COVID-19 pandemic, Penang Port recognises the challenges and sacrifices faced by the frontliners in ensuring that the public adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

The programme then continued as Penang Port and RTM crew travelled to Tanjung Tokong Ramadan Bazaar. Penang Port contributed by purchasing all food from three stalls. In a hindsight, most of the small stalls were affected tremendously during the pandemic and Penang Port’s contribution was aimed at easing their burden.

The main event of the Jelajah Ramadan programme was the Majlis Berbuka Puasa Bersama Anak Yatim di Wisma Anak Yatim Perempuan Islam Pulau Pinang that was organised under strict health and safety SOP to safeguard everyone involved from the COVID-19. During this event, Penang Port also contributed Duit Raya to 47 orphanages.

The event was attended by Dato’ Syed Mohamad Syed Murtaza, Chairman of Penang Port, Norfadzilah Hashim, Director of RTM Pulau Pinang and Tan Sri Dato’ Seri (Dr.) Haji Mohd Yussof Latiff, Yang Di Pertua Persekutuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Islam Pulau Pinang.

Penang Port was thrilled to join forces with RTM Pulau Pinang for the Jelajah Ramadan 2021 as it provided a great opportunity to help the needy.
