AIR Berhad Distributes Zakat to Provide Assistance for Asnaf Community in Perak

Aliran Ihsan Resources Berhad (AIR Berhad), a member of MMC Group, organised a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme at Masjid Ar-Rahmaniah, Kampung Gunong Semanggol, Perak. Together with Aliran Utara Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of AIR Berhad, the programme is part of the company’s CSR initiative called Mahabbah Ramadan where it served as a good platform in strengthening the engagement between AIR Berhad and the local community.

During the event, AIR Berhad has contributed zakat donations for 60 underprivileged and low-income families to help ease their burden for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri preparation. Adam Saffian Ghazali, Chief Executive Officer of AIR Berhad in his speech said that AIR Berhad is always focusing on the importance of giving back to the community especially in Ramadan, a month of great spiritual gains. He also expressed his concerns on the current pandemic situation in the country thus, reminding everyone to strictly follow the Standard Operating Procedures in efforts to prevent COVID-19 spread.

Mahabbah Ramadan programme was part of AIR Berhad’s efforts to fill one's Ramadan month with spiritual through community engagement activities apart from fasting and at the same time aimed at building positive reputation of the business where it operates.
