MAIN EDITOR'S NOTE HIGHLIGHTS IN BUSINESS ENGAGEMENTS CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY

2017 | Quarter 4

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to the Fourth Quarter of The Hub 2017.

Just a few more days to wrap up your 2017 and it’s time to change the calendars and finalise your plans for the coming year. Overall, 2017 has been a busy year for the MMC Group especially in the final quarter.

A hearty congratulations is in order for PTP on the arrival of the super post panamax cranes, making them the first port in Southeast Asia to welcome the region’s tallest ship-to-shore quay cranes! The addition of the new quay cranes is definitely a stepping stone for PTP to be the preferred port of choice in the region.

Another achievement that we are also proud of which has just materialised about a week ago was the MMC's strategic collaboration with higher institution to enhance the competency level and skills of our current and future employees. This, along with several other accomplishments happening within the Group can be found in the "In Business" section of The Hub.

Additionally, we are humbled to be given the opportunity to spend more time with the communities around us through our CSR activities which include Deepavali programme with Orthopedic patients at Hospital Serdang, Penang Port relief programme for Penang flood victims and MMC Smart Circle Programme.

Come along and uncover some fascinating facts on Penang Port: The Port of the North and put your observational talents to the test with our hidden logo game.  If you can find all seventeen logos, we’ll be very impressed! A mystery gift awaits the first three winners.

We’re facing a new year, a new set of challenges and opportunities, and a clean slate for the year ahead. Let’s all hope for a more prosperous year in 2018 and we hope you and your loved ones will have a safe and happy holiday season.
