Gas Malaysia Berhad Launches GMIEV Motherstation in Gebeng
Gas Malaysia Berhad (Gas Malaysia) via its subsidiary Gas Malaysia IEV Sdn Bhd (GMIEV), has formally commenced its Virtual Pipeline business following the officiation of the latter’s Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) mother station in Gebeng.
YBhg Datuk Haji Hasni, Chairman of Gas Malaysia Berhad, accompanied by the guest of honour, YBhg Datuk Seri Jebasingam Issace John, Chief Executive Officer, East Coast Economic Region Development Council signed a plaque to commemorate the official opening of the CNG mother station.
The Virtual Pipeline venture, is expected to contribute positively towards the East Coast Economic Region Development Council’s efforts, in improving the socio-economic development of the East Coast Region in long term, and ultimately, that of the nation.
GMIEV is a joint venture company between Gas Malaysia, a Member of MMC Group and IEV Energy Sdn Bhd. GMIEV was incorporated on 21 October 2014, to supply CNG to customers that are currently not served by Gas Malaysia’s Natural Gas Distribution System network.
