MMC Group Mobilises Assistance to

Pasir Gudang Community Affected by Pasir Gudang Chemical Pollution

MMC Group southern based operating companies have successfully mobilised assistance to help ease the chemical pollution recovery in Pasir Gudang, Johor by donating boxes of Half Face-Piece Respirator masks, oxygen tanks, food, mineral waters, towels and daily essentials to the rescuers and victims of the environmental pollution.

 The aid mobilisation effort was coordinated as part of a collaboration effort from MMC Group southern based operating companies, Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), Johor Port Berhad (JPB), Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (SATS) and Senai Airport City Sdn Bhd (SAC) with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Johor. The aid supplies were handed over to DOSH Johor representative, Senior Deputy Director of Management Services, Nurul Huda Binti Abdul Manaf at DOSH Johor Office at Menara TJB, Johor Bahru. The aid was then delivered by Deputy Director of DOSH Johor, Ir Ahmad Jailani Bin Mansor to Johor State Executive Chairman of Health, Environment and Agriculture, Dr Sahruddin Jamal, accompanied by Johor Bahru Health District Officer, Dr Norasikin Mahadan at Menara Aqabah, Pasir Gudang City Council.

MMC Group delegation was led by PTP Head of HSSE Division, Mohammed Hazaluddin Hashim, along with several other management members from PTP, JPB, SATSSB and SAC.
