Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group participated in the Expo 2020 Dubai during the Selangor Week from 6 to 12 March 2022, at the Malaysia Pavilion. The Selangor Week was launched by the Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, Raja Muda of Selangor.

During the event, Northport signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Sea Hawk Lines Shipping LLC (Sea Hawk). The exchange of SCA documents between Northport’s Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof and Sea Hawk’s Director, Mani Krishnan was witnessed by the Raja Muda of Selangor, Ambassador of Malaysia to the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Dato’ Mohd Tarid Sufian and the Selangor State Executive Councillor Industry and Trade, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Teng Chang Khim.

The event also featured sharing sessions by the participating organisations during which Dato’ Azman delivered a presentation on Northport in a session titled “Asia’s Preferred Logistics Hub – Selangor the Gateway to ASEAN”. Business matching and visits were also organised throughout the week to attract potential business collaboration as well as investment opportunities.

The Selangor Week, led by Invest Selangor Berhad, was participated by 15 organisations from various industries in Selangor including Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated, Port Klang Authority, Westports Holdings Berhad, Port Klang Free Zone, Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor, Central Spectrum, Halal International Selangor, Tourism Selangor, and Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation.

Northport’s participation in the Selangor Week at the Malaysia Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai demonstrated the company’s continuous commitment and support towards the State Government’s aspiration to be the trade and investment gateway for the ASEAN region.
