Johor Port Berhad Group Signed Corporate Integrite Pledge With MACC

Johor Port Berhad (JPB), a member of MMC Group, organised a Corporate Integrity Pledge Programme with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). 150 participants consisting of management and executive groups from JPB and its subsidiary, JPLogistics attended the programme.


The program aimed at cultivating integrity and ethical values among the employees, as well as increasing awareness on the importance of eradicating fraud and corruption in the organisation.


This is in line with JPB’s core values and business principles namely T.I.E - Taqwa, Iman, Ehsan; and D.I.D - Discipline, Integrity, Dedication; as well as the company’s internal policies such as the No Gift Policy, Whistle Blower Policy and MMC Corporate Integrity Policy Statement.


Internalising one of JPB’s five core values – Uncompromising Integrity, and underpinning its commitment to uphold the Anti-Corruption Principles, the pledge and signing ceremony were led by En. Shahrull Allam Shah Abdul Halim, Chief Executive Officer of Johor Port Berhad and witnessed by Dato’ Hj. Azmi Alias, State Director of MACC Johor. The programme began with a talk session titled, “Misconduct, Corruption and Abuse of Power”, delivered by Tuan Zuber Zainal, Deputy Director of MACC Johor.


A testament to its zero tolerance towards corruption, JPB, following on from its Corporate Integrity Pledge will continue collaborating with MACC to establish a business environment with the highest level of ethics and integrity.
