Malakoff Holds “Better Environment, Better Tomorrow” Awareness Talks for Adopted Schools in Segari and Mukim Serkat

As a continuous effort to educate students on the importance of environmental preservation and maintaining a clean surrounding, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, organised a talk series entitled “Better Environment, Better Tomorrow”.  The programme was successfully held for its adopted schools; SK Durian in Mukim Serkat, Johor on 24 October 2019 and SK Segari, Perak on 6 November 2019.

To mark the occasion, head of schools and Malakoff representatives planted various tree saplings in the vicinity of the schools.

During the event, speakers from Tanjung Bin Energy Power Plant and Lumut Power Plant conducted environmental talks on topics such as pollution, global warming, waste disposal, deforestation, loss of endangered species and public health issues. Members from the Chemical and Environment Department also performed a water filtration demonstration to the school children to emphasise on the importance of protecting our water source from pollution.
