Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, organised its inaugural high tea session with government agencies at the Oasis Hall, Johor Port. This session gathered 40 officers from 12 agencies such as Johor Department of Environment (DOE), Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Immigration Department, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency and many more.
Among the honorary guests who attended the event were Badlishah Ahmad, Chief Assistant Director of Johor DOE; Hajah Badariatunnisak Badri, Head of Customs Pasir Gudang; Nur Afifah A.Rahman, Head of Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Department Southern Region; Mohd Firdaus Md Mortar, Head of Malaysian Timber Industry Board Southern Region and other heads of government agencies in Pasir Gudang.
In his speech, Shahrull Allam Shah Abdul Halim, Chief Executive Officer of Johor Port, thanked all the government agencies for their continuous support throughout the years especially on assisting Johor Port’s operations to achieve the one million TEUs milestone in 2019. Representing the government agencies, Hajah Badariatunnisak Badri congratulated Johor Port for its excellent performance and stated the government’s commitment in giving the full support and cooperation to Johor Port.
The high tea session was part of the company’s stakeholder engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening relationship with the government agencies not only in Pasir Gudang but also at the state level. It is hoped that this programme will further enhanced the long-term business relationship between Johor Port and the government agencies as its strategic stakeholders.
Johor Port will continue to deliver excellent performance with cooperation and support from its strategic stakeholders. As the Premier Southern Gateway Multi-Purpose Port, Johor Port is poised to achieve greater heights in the years to come to make the port as the Intra Asia Hub in the region.
