PTP Shares Love and Joy With

Residents of Rumah Seri Kenangan

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, visited an old folks’ home, Rumah Seri Kenangan located in Johor Bahru as part of the company’s continuous corporate social responsibility programme involving the community.   

Currently the 20 years old Rumah Seri Kenangan is hosting more than 300 residents from various ethnics and religions background. Due to its worsening condition, the old folks’ home will be undergoing some refurbishments and upgrading to provide a better living condition for its residents. During the process, all residents will be temporarily relocated to Rumah Seri Kenangan in Seremban starting March 2020.

In view to ease the relocation process, PTP together with Johor Port Authority (JPA) organised a donation drive to collect items such as trolley bags, kain sarong, t-shirt, kurung Kedah and head scarves. Donated items from PTP’s and JPA’s employees were handed over to the residents during a simple yet meaningful ceremony at the old folks’ home.

PTP’s community outreach programme aims to building a meaningful relationship with the company’s stakeholders whilst offering its employees the opportunity to give something back to the community.
