Malakoff Strives To Save Our Sea

Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, in collaboration with the Perak State Fisheries Department (JPNP) held an environmental programme, ‘Save Our Sea’ on 22 February 2020 at Dataran Teluk Senangin, Perak.

Officiated by Zaki Mokri, Director of JPNP, the event aimed at cultivating the culture of keeping our beaches, oceans and rivers clean through a concerted campaign, among the local communities and the general public. More than 300 participants consisting of  non-governmental organizations and the local communities came to support this initiative.

During the event, the ‘Save Our Sea’ signboard was revealed, followed by the release of baby turtles into the sea by the participants. The participants then took part in a beach clean-up which managed to collect 429.5kg of waste.
