Welcome to the fourth edition of The Hub for 2019.
Concluding the fourth quarter of 2019, members of MMC Group have successfully completed 22 corporate events, 12 stakeholder engagements and 12 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that makes up an overwhelming of 46 corporate activities across the Group.
At a glance on the Group’s corporate updates; MMC Pembetungan Langat Sdn Bhd achieved its milestone by successfully received the first flow for the initial influent of 65,000 Population Equivalent into the Langat Centralised Sewage Treatment Plant located at Kampung Sungai Balak, Kajang.
Another notable accomplishment was when Johor Port Berhad accomplished its milestone by handling a record container volume of one million Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit in 2019. Johor Port has taken proactive measures to overcome numerous challenges over the years especially in terms of navigational constraint and has since grown to become the Premier Southern Gateway Multi-Purpose Port in Malaysia.
To conclude the achievement for the Group in the last quarter, Senai International Airport has reached 4 million passengers in a single year for the first time since its opening in 1974. The airport will undertake a terminal expansion to increase its current capacity and provide better experience to travellers and visitors.
In the spirit of the new school term for 2020, the operating companies across the Group organised several Back-to-School programmes to help the underprivileged school children.
