PTP Celebrates Smart Partnership

Among Workforce During the Kesatuan Pekerja-Pekerja Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas 4th Annual General Meeting

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, together with Kesatuan Pekerja–Pekerja Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas (KPPPTP) successfully organised the union’s 4th Annual General Meeting that was attended by more than 100 members of KPPPTP and guests.

The event was officiated by Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Chairman of PTP/Group Managing Director of MMC Corporation Berhad together with the presence of  Datuk Mohamad Shafie BP Mammal, President of The Union Network International-Malaysia Labour Centre (UNI-MLC), Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP, union representatives from KPPPTP, Johor Port Berhad, Northport (Malaysia) Berhad, Penang Port Sdn Bhd,  Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd and members of PTP’s management team.

Established on 18 November 2009, KPPPTP is currently led by Muhammad Azli Shah Sa’adon. Since its formation, the union has played an active role in creating a progressive work environment amongst its members.

Beginning 2017, KPPPTP and the management of PTP have adopted a pragmatic approach towards an all-inclusive ‘Smart Partnership’ relationship. Through this concept, both union members and the management team will continuously achieve better transparency, extensive collaborations and dynamic networking.
