Northport Socialises With Customers

Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group organised a Northport Futsal Challenge 2019 for its customers. The 9th edition of the futsal tournament was held at Frenzy Sports Arena, Section 16, Shah Alam and participated by 24 teams comprising Northport’s Container, Conventional and Logistics business customers.


The tournament was kicked off with a friendly opening match between Northport’s Commercial team against the participating team managers. Trans-Coastal Lines emerged as the champion of this tournament; the first title won by this shipping line since the introduction of the Northport Futsal Challenge. They won the title after defeating the defending champion, Tri-Mode System in an exciting final encounter. Meanwhile, the third and fourth places won by Sime Darby and PROTON respectively.


Northport Futsal Challenge is one of the company’s sporting events organised for its stakeholders to create opportunities for networking and part of Northport’s customer appreciation programmes for the shipping and logistics industry players.


Earlier this year, Northport had also organised its annual bowling event with the aim of strengthening good relationship between Northport and its primary stakeholders in a more casual environment.
