Johor Port Celebrates High-Potential

Employees in Talent Appreciation Day

Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group organised an employee engagement programme titled Talent Appreciation Day. The event was held with the objectives to enhancing and nurturing high-potential employees at all level in the company.  

During the event, Shahrull Allam Shah Abdul Halim, Chief Executive Officer of Johor Port launched three leadership development programmes which are Advanced Management Development Programme (AMDP), Management Acceleration Programme (MAP) and Supervisory Development Programme Batch 2 (SDP2).

AMDP is designed to enhance critical thinking when dealing with stakeholders and expand leadership and influential capacity to engage in daily situational challenges. The AMDP participants consists of 15 employees from Assistant General Managers up to General Managers level.

While MAP is designed to develop management skills of high-potential and emerging leaders from the Middle Management Level.  A total of 28 employees across Johor Port Group - Johor Port, Tanjung Bruas Port and SPT Services have been selected for the one-year programme.

SDP2 on the other hand, is designed to accelerate the development of potential talent pool for Supervisory. A total of 29 participants were selected based on the criteria set by the company.

The Talent Appreciation Day also provided a platform for employees to showcase their talents in public speaking. Mohd Najib Darose of Johor Port Container Terminal and Adibah Mashudi of Facility Management Department conquered their stage fright during the sharing session of their experience and skills acquired throughout the training programmes. Mohd Najib completed the first batch of Supervisory Development Programme while Adibah is from Young Talent Programme.
