Northport Helps Students Through Educational Programme

Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, organised an Examination Preparation Programme for Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3) and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students for the employees’ children and underprivileged students from selected schools nearby Northport’s operations area. More than 170 students participated in this two-day programme, which was conducted by experienced facilitators and teachers from Akademi Minda Bestari.

This annual effort was organised with the objective of exposing the students with effective studying techniques. To motivate students for their upcoming PT3 and SPM examinations, the facilitator shared various skills and effective learning strategies such as creative and critical thinking as well as effective communication skills. A session with parents was also included in the programme to provide them with useful guides on healthy eating habits and lifestyle for the benefit of their children.

This programme is another initiative by Northport in fulfilling its commitment as a responsible corporate citizen to support the development of the young generation through educational platform.
