On 26 July 2023, Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora), has achieved another milestone in its sustainability development journey as it was accorded Company of The Year (Waste Management) for Excellence in Community Support Initiatives, at the Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Award 2023 for two consecutive years. Organised by CSR Malaysia, the award recognises the company's outstanding achievements in environmental sustainability, particularly beyond its waste management initiatives.
The award was presented by YB Dato Sri Nancy Shukri, Minister of Women, Family & Community Development to Mohamad Fardaus Rahmat, General Manager of Human Capital of Alam Flora. The memorable night was also celebrated with its parent company, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), as they have been conferred with the Company of the Year (Energy) for Sustainable Leadership Award.
"These recognitions reflect Malakoff and Alam Flora's commitment towards thriving the communities, environmental conservation, and creating a cleaner, greener future. As a responsible player in the solid waste management industry, this win is indeed a testament to our steadfast commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication in creating a sustainable environment," said Mohamad Fardaus Rahmat.
The Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards honours outstanding corporations in Malaysia that have excelled in the role of change agents in the socio-economic and environmental transformation of Malaysia.
