From 8 to 10 August 2023, MMC Group participated in Malaysia SDG Summit: Iskandar Malaysia Sustainability Summit (IMSS) 2023 organised by Iskandar Region Development Authority (IRDA) which was held at Sunway Hotel Big Box, Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
The three-day sustainability summit successfully gathered more than 400 participants from the government, private and community sectors in support of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) through 17 keynote and panel sessions by renowned experts, industry pioneers, and influential decision-makers, all committed to driving positive change.
The ceremony was officiated by YB Tuan Lee Ting Han, Chairman of the Johor State Investment, Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee, which was also attended by Dato' Hajjah Hanifah Hajar Taib, Deputy Minister of Economy, Malaysia.
Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP was also featured as one of the panellists, presenting insight on the topic of 'Accelerating the Transport Action' alongside several distinguished leaders and captains of industries.
Also featured in the Knowledge Sharing Session Stage at Concourse Sunway Big Box Shopping Mall was Jaizal Kamar Jalaludin, PTP Head of Human Capital Management Division who presented a topic of 'Women Empowerment Initiatives in PTP'.
The participation of MMC Group was part of the group's stakeholder engagement initiative to strengthen the relationship with Government officials, Government agencies as well as industry stakeholders. This event also offers networking opportunities to gain valuable insights into industry trends and provide firsthand information on sustainability updates, initiatives and future takes in Malaysia, especially at the state and local levels.
