On 15 September 2023, Gas Malaysia Berhad (Gas Malaysia), a member of MMC Group, has jointly launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme with Pertubuhan Tindakan Wanita Islam (PERTIWI) to feed the homeless and urban poor at Kuala Lumpur Homeless Transit Centre to coincide with 60th Malaysia Day celebration.

This was the first collaboration project with PERTIWI and it represents a significant step in addressing the urban poverty rate within the city while extending assistance to the homeless community in need.

The CSR initiative was graced with the presence of Ahmad Hashimi Abdul Manap, Group Chief Executive Officer of Gas Malaysia, Datin Haryani Abdul Hamid, Exco Member representing PERTIWI and supported by volunteers from Gas Malaysia.

The commitment Gas Malaysia upholds in its CSR framework is best understood through its four key pillars - Community, Sports, Education and Environment - which are targeted to ensure that Gas Malaysia's business goals are well balanced with responsible corporate practices.
