Kicking off with a bang, PTP has soared to new heights, securing its place as the 5th most efficient container port globally among 405 ports and the number one spot in Southeast Asia! This outstanding feat, recognised by the Container Port Performance Index developed by The World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence, showcases our relentless drive for excellence.
But that's not all. Northport (Malaysia) Bhd has broken records by handling a significant 335,361 TEUs in a single month, marking a staggering 26.6% growth compared to May last year. This milestone underscores our commitment to operational brilliance and capacity expansion.
In the latest exciting development, Kontena Nasional Berhad's Inland Clearance Depot (KNICD) in Shah Alam is now a pivotal link in the Asean Express’s route—a groundbreaking international freight train service connecting Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, and China via KTMB. This strategic route slashes the transit time from KNICD to Chongqing, China, to just nine days, a monumental improvement over the traditional 14 to 21 days by sea.
