On 1 April 2024, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (“Malakoff”) hosted its yearly #ShareOurLove programme, which also coincided with a ‘Majlis Berbuka Puasa’ event with its Managing Director & Group Chief Executive Officer, Encik Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, alongside 55 students from Maahad Tarbiah Islamiah Al Ansar (“Al-Ansar”) as well as, Malakoff Headquarter (“HQ”) employees, reaffirming its commitment to both Employee Engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility ("CSR").
Also attended by Al-Ansar's Principal Ustaz Rosazli Md Yasin, the event garnered enthusiastic participation from Malakoff employees, who not only had the opportunity to ‘iftar’ with Encik Anwar but also shared the occasion with the students of Al-Ansar.
This year, the collective efforts of Malakoff employees resulted in a substantial contribution of RM11,140.00 to Al-Ansar. These funds have been earmarked for the procurement and installation of a large fan in the school hall, aimed at enhancing the learning environment for the students.
#ShareOurLove is a programme crafted to engage every member of the Malakoff workforce, encouraging both financial and physical contributions to schools requiring significant redevelopment or enhancement. Two years ago, our employees played a pivotal role in furnishing Al-Ansar's open hall with LED lights and fans. Following the severe floods in December 2021, Al-Ansar suffered significant impact.
This initiative is part of Malakoff’s CSR undertakings, focusing on the Community pillar where it demonstrates Malakoff’s continuous commitment to support community development in areas where its plants operate. It is also in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (“SDG”) No.11 where it contributes to the objective of making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. It is also aligned with Malakoff’s overarching purpose of ‘Enhancing Life, Enriching Communities’.
