Penang Port Joins One Million Trees in One Day Planting Initiative

In celebration of Earth Day on 22 April 2024, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, joined forces with Yayasan Amal Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang and the State Housing and Environment EXCO for the Planting of One Million Trees in One Day, in conjunction with Earth Day at Sekolah Kebangsaan Mak Mandin, Butterworth.

Demonstrating the strong commitment to sustainability, 50 Penang Port employees alongside 100 students and teachers from the school came together to plant 250 Calamansi saplings around the school grounds. This collaborative effort not only beautifies the school environment but also contributes towards a greener Penang for future generations.

This initiative serves as a commendable example of how environmental responsibility can be fostered through collaboration. By working together with local communities, Penang Port vastly ensures a lasting positive impact on environmental awareness and working towards a sustainable future for Penang.
