On 29 April 2024, Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (Senai International Airport), a member of MMC Group, through its Cargo Operations achieved yet another milestone with the successful unloading and delivery of Mercedes-Benz Original Auto Spare Parts through a charter flight Boeing 747-400 (B747-400F).
The process commenced with the arrival of the charter flight from Liege, Belgium, carrying 39 pallets of high-value Mercedes-Benz auto spare parts. To ensure a smooth and efficient transition of cargo from air to ground, Senai International Airport ensured the maintenance of all equipment and enlisted the assistance of a manpower agency, bolstering their workforce with an additional 10 personnel. A total of 24 tonnes of cargo were then loaded into 17 40-footer trucks to the final destination, which is the Mercedes-Benz Warehouse located at Jalan Kargo 9, Persiaran SAC, Senai, Johor.
Under the vigilant supervision of Noor Safura Suib, General Manager of Commercial Division, and Mohd Farhan Mohd Fauzi, Head of Facilities & Project Management, the whole operation started at 9:46 pm and was completed at 4:05 am. Also present to witness this operation were Kennedy Ayu, Chief Executive Officer of Senai International Airport and the Mercedes-Benz Management team based in Johor.
