MMC Board of Directors Visit to Senai Airport City (SAC) on
the Journey of SAC’s Development & Marketing From 2015
On 22 April 2024, Senai Airport City City Sdn Bhd (SACSB) hosted the MMC Board of Directors (BOD) for a visit to Senai Airport City (SAC) on the journey of SAC's development and marketing from 2015. The BOD and MMC Senior Management were led by Tan Sri Tajuddin Atan, MMC Group Chairman, along with Tan Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Group Managing Director, and MMC Board of Directors namely, Datuk Ooi Teik Huat, Dato' Abdul Hamid Sh Mohamed, Dato' Siti Halimah Ismail, Dato' Syed Naqiz Shahabuddin Syed Abdul Jabbar, Dato' Ir. Jamaludin Osman and MMC Senior Management.
Chief Executive Officer of SACSB, Gan Seng Keong and Head of Sales & Marketing, Claudia Wong, welcomed the BOD and presented the journey of SAC's development & marketing since 2015 to 2024. The delegation was invited for a tour of Senai Airport City (SAC) and the new expansion of the Custom Examination Area and SAC's Free Zone (SACFZ). Royal Malaysian Customs Department briefed on the encouraging growth in tax collection contributed by SAC Free Zone and SAC Free Zone Authority on the newly implemented Free Zone Integrated Processing (FZIP) system which has enhanced SAC's investors logistics turnaround time for customs clearance.
The delegation then visited Wiwynn Technology Services Sdn Bhd (Wiwynn) facilities, General Manager of Wiwynn, Dover Lui showcased Wiwynn's manufacturing process of their integrated racking system for Data Centres and its Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) robots, Automated Storage Retrieving System and in-house training auditorium centre in delivering of the products.
SAC's journey of its development has taken shape and its sales has gained traction with reputable Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) and Domestic Direct Investments (DDIs) accelerating especially post pandemic with the encouraging support and guidance of the BOD, SAC's management will strive to build on this momentum for the remaining 40% of its 2,718 acres master planned development.
