On 17 April 2024, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff), a member of MMC Group, hosted its annual Hari Raya celebration, ‘Malakoff Group Meriahnya Syawal’ at Hilton Petaling Jaya. Aimed at fostering stronger silaturrahim between one another where approximately 600 employees from Malakoff Headquarters and subsidiaries, Alam Flora Sdn Bhd (Alam Flora) and Alam Flora Environmental Solutions gathered on this special occasion, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere. The event was attended by Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Chairman of Malakoff, Tan Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, Executive Vice Chairman of Malakoff, Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, Managing Director & Group Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff, alongside Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, Chairman of Alam Flora and Adam Saffian Ghazali, Chief Executive Officer of Alam Flora.


‘Malakoff Group Meriahnya Syawal’ is a once-a-year occasion commemorating Aidilfitri that goes beyond mere greetings and a celebration of food. It is a profound celebration of forgiveness and reconciliation, nurturing a strong sense of unity and togetherness among employees during the Aidilfitri celebration. Various activities were held which contributed to enhancing the festive spirit which includes the Group Viral Challenge, the Best Dress award followed by a lucky draw. There were also 360 glam bots and photo booths available, offering employees the chance to capture and cherish these memorable moments throughout the celebration.


Amidst the festivities, Malakoff took a moment to give tribute to its remarkable employees with the Long-Term Service Award (LTSA) ceremony, presented by Tan Sri Datuk Dr Ir Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib and Malakoff’s Chief People Officer, Raja Iskandar Raja Mukhtaruddin. This prestigious award recognises those who have served Malakoff with unwavering dedication for 10, 15 and 25 years, reflecting our acknowledgment and appreciation for their commitment to the Group.


This initiative is part of Malakoff's ongoing efforts to prioritise employee welfare and well-being, demonstrating Malakoff’s steadfast commitment to supporting its workforce. It is in line with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal No. 8, which promotes inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment, and decent work for all. It also aligns with Malakoff’s overarching purpose of ‘Enhancing Life, Enriching Communities’.
