Malakoff Organises Bowling Tournament with Energy Commission

On 10 December 2022, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff) held a friendly bowling tournament with the Energy Commission (ST) at the KLGCC Bowling Alley, Kuala Lumpur as part of its continuous engagement and relationship building with its key stakeholders. The event saw encouraging participation of 20 representatives from ST and 20 representatives from Malakoff.

Ir Ts Shamsuddin Arshad, the Deputy Director of Safety Regulation, Gas Installation and Equipment was given the honour of making the first throw to officially mark the start of the tournament. The format comprised Male and Female categories for the Individual division and the overall Group category.

As per customary practice, the tournament would consist of only two rounds where participants would utilise the first round to gauge their teammates’ strengths and weaknesses before heading into the second round. When the second round commenced, participants were starting to showcase their skills to ensure their teams collect the highest number of scores. A great display of camaraderie and showmanship was also shown by all teams where plenty of cue and shouts were thrown in show of support of each other.

Conclusively, Mazuin Ima Salamat from Malakoff emerged as the Champion for the Female Individual category whereas Mohammad Hilmi Ibrahim from ST took first place for the Male Individual category. For the Group category, Team 5 consisting of Mazuin Ima Salamat, Mohd Hanif Hamid, Muhammad Amirul Fawwaz Mansor, Muhammad Zaiful Asmi Sulaiman and Ikhwan Ahmad were declared champions with a total of 1363 points.

Malakoff’s Senior Manager of Stakeholder Management, Encik Md Yuha Ismail handed over the prizes to the top three individual and group winners.
