On 12 October 2022, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, received a familiarisation visit by Persero Batam, Indonesia and delegation. The delegation was welcomed by Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP, Asyraf Suhaimi Sulaiman, Head of Group Strategy & Investments MMC Group and other members of PTP’s senior management team.
The familiarisation visit began with an in-depth presentation on PTP’s operational performance, the port’s beginnings and current progress with its on-going development, and the contribution of the port industry towards the nation’s economic growth. The delegation then proceeded on a port tour before ending the visit.
The familiarisation visit by Persero Batam was part of PTP’s stakeholder engagement programme throughout 2022 that aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between PTP and Government agencies, while at the same time exploring business and investment opportunities for both parties.
