On 27 October 2022, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group “Terminal Operations Optimisation Award” at 2022 Inspire Awards.

Held at The Palace Hotel, San Francisco during the Navis World Conference, the 2022 Inspire Awards honours leading ports from around the world for the innovation, optimisation, and value they deliver through the creative application of cutting-edge technology.

PTP was recognized for its use of technology to drive operations that are as efficient and productive as possible for its RTG-Optimisation. With more than 172 RTG cranes, the utilisation of the state-of-the-art system in PTP has significantly improved various aspects of yard operation such as reduced terminal truck yard waits, reduced rehandles for load containers and eliminated manual zone management.

The optimisation of PTP’s terminal equipment also helps in reducing carbon emissions. This is in line with PTP’s Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) framework where equipment, people and the environment coexist for a sustainable working environment and as part of PTP’s continuous effort to lead the global benchmark for integrated port services in the Straits of Malacca
