On 24 November 2022, SATSSB Emergency Response Team successfully conducted a fire drill at its Cargo Terminal as part of compliance by Fire and Rescue Department in ensuring and guaranteeing its building and operational safety.
Aimed to provide fundamental exposure and awareness of fire prevention, participants were able to experience real procedures including their ability to evacuate the premise quickly and safely, in the event of emergencies in the terminal such as fire and other catastrophes.
The ERT exercise was participated by 47 representatives from the SATSSB employees, building occupants as well as cleaning contractors. Whilst the main objective is to provide assurance and protection, it also broadens participants’ understanding of the danger caused by fire.
