Northport Strengthens Bonds with Customers Through Futsal Tournament

On 5 November 2022, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group organised a Northport Futsal Challenge 2022 for its key customers. The first futsal tournament since the pandemic was much anticipated by Northport’s customers and successfully drew participation from 24 teams. The tournament was held at Frenzy Sports Arena, Shah Alam and was officiated by G. Ulaganathan, General Manager of Commercial, Northport

Maritime Network won this year’s title by defeating CMA CGM in the final match. Transworld GLS finished in third place while PROTON settled for fourth place. The Top Scorer for this year’s tournament was Nur Ariff Tambi Hamid from Eternity Shipping, while Helmiredza Rusman from Maritime Network was crowned the Man of the Match.

Northport’s General Manager, Terminal Operations, Fakhrul Azhar Tajudin presented the prizes to all winners.

Earlier in June this year, Northport organised a bowling tournament for its customers. The bowling and futsal tournaments are part of Northport’s annual sporting events organised with the objective to value its customers and business partners. These events also serve as a platform that offers opportunities for networking in the shipping and logistics industry.
