Tanjung Bruas Port Organises Customer Awareness Programme for Its New Container Feeder Service

On 17 October 2022, Tanjung Bruas Port Sdn Bhd (Tanjung Bruas Port), a member of MMC Group, organised a customer awareness programme for its new container feeder service. This event was jointly conducted with CMA CGM Malaysia Sdn Bhd (CMA CGM) and Pos Logistics Berhad (Pos Logistics).

More than fifty business associates from Melaka and Muar participated in the programme, including manufacturers from the automotive, food, furniture and aerospace industries. There were also representatives from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department and Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services (MAQIS) who attended the programme.

The programme started with a presentation by Zahrain Zakaria, Head of Tanjung Bruas Port on the introduction of the port, facilities, equipment and the process flow for the feeder service. Azizul Annuar, Senior Branch Manager of CMA CGM Johor, presented on the new container feeder service, while Kumar Rajaratnam and Chiang Cheng Guan from Pos Logistics presented on Pos Logistics’ role and customs clearance matter respectively. There was also a Q&A session before the customers were brought for a port tour around Tanjung Bruas Port for a better understanding.

The event was part of Tanjung Bruas Port’s customer engagement initiatives to increase awareness of the new container feeder service among the industry players in Melaka. It also provides a platform for customers to understand the process flow and requirements prior to using the new service in Tanjung Bruas Port.
